We’re so excited to share actress and activist Shiva Rose‘s favorites in our third installment of our “What They’re Into” series.  I met up with her when she was in town recently and she’s just as warm and lovely in person as she comes across in her thoughtful posts on her blog The Local Rose.  Thanks Shiva!!

What is the last thing you bought that you shouldn’t have?
The last thing I bought that I should not have is a vintage leather travel bag in New York from the vintage store Narnia. I gave my old travel bag to a friend who loved it, so I suppose I could justify buying this one, but it is vintage and the leather is fraying a bit. It looks great but I’m not sure how functional it is.

What are your favorite places to shop, online and off?
I like to shop at various vintage stores, Roseark in Los Angeles for jewelry and leather moccasins, Jenni KayneZara.

If you had a theme song, what would it be?
I love, love music so my theme song is always changing. I would say this week it is the song Golden by My Morning Jacket.

What is your favorite room in your home and why?
I love my bedroom because it is peaceful. I have very little art on the walls and it is mostly white and blue. It feels soothing. I just bought one of those salt lamps so it feels almost womb like in there with the amber light in the evening.

What is your favorite scent?
I love the way my daughters smell. I also love the smell of lavender in Tuscany. Also the wild sage bushes when I’m hiking in the mountains of Ojai or near my house. As far as perfumes go, I like rose and molecule perfume.

What inspires you?
Kindness, music, women all inspire me. Trees inspire me. Being authentic also inspires me and so rare to find.

What’s one luxury you can’t live without?
One luxury item I can’t live without . . . . hmmmm I’m not sure I’m that attached to luxury goods though I have to say my Celine bag that I invested in a year ago has been a good staple in my every day wardrobe.
